Who we are
HAL Consulting Limited (HAL) is a New Zealand-based niche consultancy specialising in three waters management. From our modelling-focused beginnings,
we have grown to now offer a comprehensive suite of services ranging from technical detail to strategic thinking. We pride ourselves on our ability to
communicate the complexities involved to a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences.
HAL undertake modelling and planning projects throughout New Zealand, and have forged strong relationships with several local authorities across the country where we are able to implement our strategic thinking and make a real difference to the environmental outcomes for local communities.
We offer technical excellence across a full range of hydraulic modelling applications, analysis of data from a variety of sources including SCADA, GIS, flow gauging and rainfall, assessing system performance and generating projects and programmes addressing identified issues, and developing high-level strategies to guide long-term three-waters management and infrastructure planning.
We are a small team with an extensive range of experience and skills built up over many years in the industry. What sets us apart is our collaborative work ethic – we work with our clients to address not just the immediate issue, but also the context, challenges, and opportunities, developing sustainable and cost-effective solutions tailored to the community they serve. We support our clients in growing their own three-waters excellence by providing knowledge, sharing ideas and handling the many complex tasks that are the foundation of successfully managing the three waters over the long term.
